The Ask
Design and develop location-specific pages on the client’s website that can be used as landing pages for paid media campaigns that will be run for each location.
Background
My Role
Lead designer
Lead developer
Capital Waste Services offers waste management and recycling solutions across communities in South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. They have been looking for a solution to effectively advertise within each area and inform residents about the range of services and community initiatives they provide. These areas include Aiken SC, Charleston SC, Chattanooga TN, Coastal SC, Dalton GA, Lowcountry SC, and Midlands SC.
CWS is new to the idea of running paid media campaigns and have expressed that they “want to dip their toes in the water before fully jumping in.” Our team wanted to respect this position, so we started first with designing and developing location-specific pages on their website.
Discovery
Prior to starting any design work, I wanted to have a full understanding of their goals, services, and differentiators. Below is a list of questions I came prepared with for the call:
Wireframing
During our discovery call, the client provided us with a full list of the services provided in each location, value propositions, and reviews from their customers. All of these elements were helpful in helping me develop a wireframe that met their expectations and addressed the needs of their target audience.
Final Designs
Final designs ended up being really close to the wireframes. We were pretty limited on customized based on how the website was built in Wordpress, but I am still confident that we created a valuable user experience that showcases the services and impact that CWS has on their communities. each location page maintains a consistent structure while showcasing distinct images specific to each geographical area.
What does success look like to you for this campaign?
What differentiates your services from it’s competitors?
Outside of your core services, what other impacts do you have on the community?
Are there customer testimonials or reviews that we could access?
